Abstract
en 2017 se puso en funcionamiento el Gobierno Autónomo Indígena Originario Campesino en Charagua, ubicado en la región guaraní del Chaco boliviano. En ese mismo año, tzeltales de Chilón en el sur de México iniciaban su proceso legal por el reconocimiento del derecho a la libre determinación. Este artículo analiza y compara dos proyectos de autonomía indígena: una propuesta en construcción, el Gobierno Comunitario en Chilón; y otra en funcionamiento, la Autonomía Indígena Originario Campesino Charagua. A partir de un análisis desde el enfoque de la Teoría de Movilización de Recursos, se identificaron similitudes en las estrategias, los recursos y los actores que han intervenido en ambas experiencias. Se concluye que existen patrones de comportamiento en la acción colectiva de ambas experiencias. Sin embargo, la estructura de las oportunidades políticas determinará el éxito de los movimientos autonómicos.
